  1. Why do we tend to want to “be like everyone else” rather than follow God’s plan? How has this gotten you in a tight spot in the past?
  2. What role, would you say, does the Bible play in your life currently? Is it “alive and active” or “functionally lost”?
  3. Why did Josiah respond in the way he did toward the found scroll?
  4. Be honest: how often do you read and study the Bible?
  5. What is your biggest struggle with reading and studying the Bible?
  6. Which of the practices discussed would be most helpful in your own study of the Scriptures? How will you implement that practice into your routine?

Four whole days of basking in the unity and the camaraderie that the Olympics are known for. The world comes together for these games to compete in a wide variety of sports and demonstrate that we can get along, at least for a couple of weeks. World leaders usually attend, too, and one of the prominent attendees in Beijing was Russian president Vladimir Putin. All eyes were on Putin because his army had been establishing itself along the border with Ukraine. And four days after the Olympics were over, that army moved.
