Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. Who in your early life had much influence? What words or phrases of instruction do you most remember?
  2. How do your expectations get in the way of seeing how God is actually working?
  3. How do the Beatitudes reveal what God is like?
  4. What should be our attitude when we approach prayer? What is most important when we come to God in prayer?
  5. What does perseverance and persistence in prayer look like? Recall someone in your life who modeled that for you.
  6. How have you experienced God as a good Father?
  7. Imagine what the world would be like if we all lived by “the Golden rule.” Describe what you imagine.
  8. How do you need to more deeply experience the enablement of the Holy Spirit? Pray for that power.
