Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. How do you learn your way around a new area or new community?
  2. How do you react when you hear Jesus say, “I am the way”?
  3. What are the “idols” that populate our culture or our city today? In what way(s) do people “bow down” to those idols?
  4. Was Paul a success in Athens? How do you measure that?
  5. What is the mission of Mount Pleasant? How do you see us living that out and fulfilling it?
  6. In what way(s) do you experience a hunger for spiritual meaning in the world around you? How do you respond when you see that hunger?
  7. What is it worth to you to be able to fulfill, in some small part, our mission? How much is it worth for people to be able to find The Way?

Revelation 22:1-5 May 5, 2024 • Mount Pleasant UMC It had only been four days since the Winter Olympics in Beijing had ended. Four whole days of basking in the unity and the camaraderie that the Olympics are known for. The world comes together for these games to compete in a wide variety of sports and demonstrate that we can get along, at least for a couple of weeks. World leaders usually attend, too, and one of the prominent attendees in Beijing was Russian president Vladimir Putin. All eyes were on Putin because his army had been establishing itself along the border with Ukraine. And four days after the Olympics were over, that army moved.
