- What stories or experiences of spiritual malpractice are you aware of?
- What occupations have the highest ethics, in your opinion? Which occupations have the least? Where do religious authorities rank on that list?
- In what way(s) did Jesus and the Pharisees agree? How did they disagree?
- Why did Jesus reserve such harsh words for the Pharisees? To whom do you think he would direct such words today?
- What does it mean to be an ambassador? What does it mean to be an ambassador for Christ?
- How does James describe “pure” religion? How does that compare to what we experience today?
- How should we respond to those who have been through spiritual malpractice? How can you live out the practice of tikkun olam?
