  2. Recall a time when grief affected you deeply. How did you experience it? Or maybe—how are you experiencing it now?
  3. Why is it easier to look down than look up during times of grief? What are the effects of looking “down” at our problems?
  4. How have you experienced the faithfulness of God? How would you describe an experience of mercy?
  5. Do you prefer waiting or taking action? Why? How does this affect your relationships?
  6. In your current situation, what are you most waiting or hoping for?
  7. What most helps you to trust God in your situation?
