Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. What is your earliest memory of being jealous?
  2. What is the difference between unhealthy and healthy jealousy? Which one have you experienced the most?
  3. How are the Ten Commandments more about relationship than become law-abiding citizens?
  4. Where do you find other “gods” in our world today? What things or people do other worship?
  5. What does the Bible mean when it says God is jealous? How is that similar or different to our experience of jealousy?
  6. How did the “jealousy” or zeal of God bring about the birth of Jesus? How does Jesus’ life, death and resurrection demonstrate the jealousy of God?
  7. Why are we often reluctant to share about our jealous God with our neighbors? What steps will you take to change that?
