  1. What has been your experience of the Old Testament? Have you read a lot of it? What do you know of the book of Leviticus?
  2. What stories or passages would you most miss if we didn’t have the Old Testament?
  3. Why do some people believe the two testaments tell us about different Gods? How do you respond?
  4. In what way(s) does or could the laws about slavery and debt apply to us today? Accounting for differences between then and now, how can we better deal with debt?
  5. If the law was given to help people learn about God, what do we learn from this passage? How do such laws show that God is the Lord?
  6. What does it mean to be holy like God is holy? in your daily life?
  7. Can someone call Jesus “savior” and not “Lord”? Why or why not?
