  1. If you were to ask your neighbors what “freedom” means, what would they say? What image(s) to you line up with what freedom is?
  2. What happens when everyone in a culture has their own idea of what freedom is?
  3. Why did Jesus argue with the Pharisees so much?
  4. While the Pharisees were concerned with slavery to someone else, what was Jesus’ primary concern?
  5. How is being set free from sin similar to adoption? What does it mean to belong to a family?
  6. Which of the ways we experience freedom do you most need to have as part of your life? Why?
  7. Have you been set free? How are you living out that freedom?

Job 2:11-13 May 18, 2025 • Mount Pleasant UMC Well, it’s been an interesting year so far, but I am glad to be back in the pulpit today.
