What are you doing here?

Questions to Discuss or Ponder:
  1. Reflect back over the last year. Recall “mountaintop” experiences. Recall “valley” experiences. Where did you experience God the most?
  2. What images come to mind when you think of “good vs. evil”? How does that help you understand Elijah’s context?
  3. What “opinions” do people waver between in today’s world?
  4. Why does God ask Elijah this particular question?
  5. What do you do when you feel like everything around you is falling apart?
  6. What helps you evaluate your particular situation? What helps you improve, move on, get beyond self-pity?
  7. When can you take some time to listen for the “still, small voice” of God?
