  1. What images come to mind when you think of confidence?
  2. What does it mean to “abide” in the Father’s will?
  3. How have you experienced answered prayer? How have you experienced “unanswered” prayer (“no”)?
  4. Recall an experience when God knew better than you thought you did. What do you think was God’s eternal purpose in saying “no” or “wait”?
  5. Which of the ideas for praying with confidence do you most need to integrate into your prayer life this week?

Four whole days of basking in the unity and the camaraderie that the Olympics are known for. The world comes together for these games to compete in a wide variety of sports and demonstrate that we can get along, at least for a couple of weeks. World leaders usually attend, too, and one of the prominent attendees in Beijing was Russian president Vladimir Putin.
