Questions to Discuss or Ponder:
- What difference does it make to see this storm on Galilee as a supernatural storm?
- What significance is there in Jesus telling the demons to “be muzzled”?
- How do you think the disciples reacted when they saw Jesus sleeping? Have you ever felt like Jesus was “sleeping” through a storm in your life?
- Recall a time when a storm in your life left you “nearly swamped.” What happened? How did that storm shape you?
- React to this question: “What if it’s our quality of peace within the storm that determines the capacity of our faith to calm the storm?”
- What does it mean to truly “fear the Lord”? How does that fear overcome the fear of the storms?
