  1. What are the things in your world that easily become idols? What idols do you see in our community?
  2. What are the ideas alive and well in our culture that challenge our faith?
  3. As you “listen” to Paul’s sermon, what touchstones with the Greek culture do you notice? Why, do you think, are those the things Paul chose to use?
  4. Respond to this statement: “All truth is God’s truth.”
  5. Why do we tend to attach such strong meaning to particular places or persons?
  6. How does worship on Sunday morning help us better hear God’s voice the rest of the week?
  7. Why is it important to listen to a wide variety of perspectives? And why is it important to filter everything through a Biblical lens?
  8. What do you need to do this week to better be able to listen for the voice of God?
