- What are the things in your world that easily become idols? What idols do you see in our community?
- What are the ideas alive and well in our culture that challenge our faith?
- As you “listen” to Paul’s sermon, what touchstones with the Greek culture do you notice? Why, do you think, are those the things Paul chose to use?
- Respond to this statement: “All truth is God’s truth.”
- Why do we tend to attach such strong meaning to particular places or persons?
- How does worship on Sunday morning help us better hear God’s voice the rest of the week?
- Why is it important to listen to a wide variety of perspectives? And why is it important to filter everything through a Biblical lens?
- What do you need to do this week to better be able to listen for the voice of God?
