Questions to Discuss or Ponder:
- How do you picture/imagine the mood in the room during the days between Good Friday and Easter? How would you have reacted during those days?
- Take a moment to read through John’s account of the crucifixion (and, if you have time, the entire passion narrative) in John 19:17-42. Picture yourself in the story. What is your response? How do you react?
- Reflect on this statement: “Nearly all of us carry some level of pain, fear or shame deep in our bodies and minds.” Can you relate? Share as you feel comfortable.
- Why do you think Jesus kept his wounds?
- Which of the three “c’s” is the most difficult for you to live into? Why?
- What will you do this week to allow God to make you into a wounded healer? How will you start?
