Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. Where do you currently most hear the message, “You deserve it”? What is implied by that message and its sender?
  2. What does it feel like to be chosen (i.e., team, family, etc.)? What does it mean that Jesus chose you?
  3. In what ways do you experience people being stubborn? How have you experienced God’s people being stubborn?
  4. What is the “goad” that God uses most in your life to point you in the right direction?
  5. In what way(s) does the law call people in rather than keep them out?
  6. How does God put his people “right in the middle of things” today like he did with Israel?
  7. Who in your life are you most likely to leave out?
  8. How do you practice “fear of the Lord”?
