- Think of a time when you were in the middle of conflict. What was the setting? How was it handled? What was the end result?
- Why do conflicts in the church seem to be much more difficult to handle?
- Reflect on this statement: “People often know us [the church] more by what we’re against than what we’re for.” Do you agree or disagree? Why?
- What would be the motivation for approaching someone to talk about a conflict?
- What does “unity” mean to you? In what ways can we be unified even if we don’t agree on everything?
- What is the goal in every attempt at conflict resolution?
- In what ways do you often keep track of the number of times you’ve forgiven someone? How can you move beyond that practice?
