Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. Where did you first hear the term “born again”? What does it mean to you?
  2. What does it mean to be “regenerated”?
  3. How do you experience the witness of the Holy Spirit?
  4. What stood in Nicodemus’ way of being born again? Why did he have trouble understanding Jesus’ answer?
  5. Who is someone like Nicodemus today? What gets in their way of being born again?
  6. How have you experienced God as “bigger than” anything you can imagine? Why is it important for us to experience God that way?
  7. Have you been born again? Do you know that you know? If not, what will you do about it?
