Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. When you hear the word “hypocrite,” what images or actions come to mind?
  2. Why do you think Jesus talked so much about the hypocrisy of the religious leaders?
  3. Where do you see rules declared but not lived out by the leadership? How does that affect their followers?
  4. How do we in the church distinguish between what actions and behaviors are critical to the faith and what is not? How does majoring on the minors miss the spirit of godliness?
  5. How does pride get in the way of living out true faith?
  6. Why does Christian faith demand more than outward appearances?
  7. What will you do this week to less hypocritical in your life of faith? How will you be “more like Jesus” and “less like you”?

Four whole days of basking in the unity and the camaraderie that the Olympics are known for.
