Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. Respond to this statement: “If what we believe offends someone, we should stop believing it.” In whom have you seen that idea lived out?
  2. When you think of God as a judge, what image(s) come to mind? How can God be both judge and refuge (see Psalm 7)?
  3. What is the difference between the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25? What are both of them surprised?
  4. What role do works play in the “working out” of our salvation?
  5. How can you share the truth that God is a judge with someone who thinks that is a negative characteristic?
  6. Explain the difference between fact and opinion. How have we gotten those confused in our current culture?
  7. How does communion remind us that God does not show favoritism?

Four whole days of basking in the unity and the camaraderie that the Olympics are known for. The world comes together for these games to compete in a wide variety of sports and demonstrate that we can get along, at least for a couple of weeks.
