Questions to Discuss or Ponder:
- When have you experienced “two things” being true at the same time?
- What is the “second half” of the Gospel? How does James describe it?
- Respond to this statement: We are saved from sin but for good works. Does that describe your life? Why or why not?
- Why is faith without works really no faith at all?
- What does “good works” mean for James and for John Wesley?
- Which of the four areas mentioned do we as a community do really well in? Which area(s) do we need to do better in?
- How would you describe the relationship between faith and works? In what way(s) are you trying to improve that “relationship” in your own Christian life?
