Questions to Discuss or Ponder:

  1. Have you experienced a family rift? How serious was it? What happened?
  2. When have you experienced “turmoil” or doubts in your soul? What did that do to your relationship with God or with others?
  3. Why do we tend toward legalistic practices in our faith rather than trusting grace? How would you define the difference between a faith based in law and one based in grace?
  4. Recall a time you were granted special or unexpected access. What happened? How did that make you feel?
  5. What does it mean that we can “glory in our sufferings”?
  6. Has your heart been strangely warmed? Share about that experience. If not, do you want that experience?
  7. How have you experienced all of life as a gift?
